A note from Matt Wahrhaftig, Kettering Rotary Club Foundation President:

It is an honor to work alongside my fellow Kettering Rotarians to give back to our Kettering Community. Our club members have a generosity of spirit that becomes contagious. They have given time, talent and treasure to truly impact our community and beyond. Our Club Foundation is different from Rotary International Foundation as the primary focus is on local programs and support in the Kettering area. On occasion we will support an International Project that is sustainable and impactful. We welcome support from friends of the club, members and others who are committed to a healthier, safer, better educated and more sustainable world.

OUR CLUB'S SIGNATURE LOCAL PROJECTS:

STRIVE Mentoring & Scholarship Program

 
Our club goals have always been supporting youth in our community. Our STRIVE program works with underachieving seniors at Fairmont High School to help them boost their academic record and help prepare them for life after High School. We pair students with a Rotarian and they work together to navigate that pivotal senior year. Students who achieve a higher grade point average, contribute to their households and community or show growth & maturity during the year may receive scholarships for college or technical schools. It's an important program that we take pride in as signature program of our club.
 
Senior Care Support
Our KRCF supports low income seniors in our community with essential personal care items, events and food.
 
OUR CLUB'S SIGNATURE INTERNATIONAL PROJECTS:

Clean Water Around the Globe

Our KRC Foundation has partnered with other clubs in our District to help bring clean water pumps to those around the world. Our Foundation along with our generous donations from our members have helped communities in Malawi, Haiti and Ecuador. 

PolioPlus

 
We are partnered with the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation to provide medicare and aid to those in need.
 
Worldwide we have donated over 1 Billion dollars to providing education, immunizations, and healthcare to wipe out this deadly disease. 
 
PolioPlus is a far reaching organization, dedicated to the Global Polio Eradication Initiative. Rotary is a leader in the private sector, seeking to rid the world of Polio. This crippling disease has plagued humanity for over 30 years. PolioPlus is setting a standard worldwide as the strongest model of public-private cooperation as we pursue a humanitarian goal.
We financially support our local YMCA to help send underserved children and adults to programs that enrich their lives. 
Supporting special needs adults and children connect to the world with Equine Therapy.
Supporting our men and women in blue in the City of Kettering. We support the Kettering Police Foundation at their annual 'Dancing with the Star's event. 
We have long supported scouting in our area to help young boys and girls gain life long skills and confidence through service and character building.
